Business for Good

One of our core principles is allocating a portion of our profits to supporting meaningful global causes. While we may not be able to change the entire world, we are committed to making a positive impact where it’s needed most. Through partnerships with organisations like B1G1, We contribute to projects that support education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and sustainability, improving lives in communities around the world.

We also inspire all our partners to contribute their time, skills, and expertise to individuals and organisations in need, making a tangible difference wherever possible.

Empowering Women in Rural Communities

“When you educate a woman, you educate a nation.” – African Proverb.

At RGH, we are committed to empowering women and communities in need. In Tanzania, we’ve partnered with Five Talents through B1G1 to empower rural communities by establishing savings groups and providing essential business training. Over 7,800 individuals, primarily women, are learning how to save, invest, and build sustainable businesses. To date, these groups have saved more than $72,000, improving access to healthcare, education, and food while laying the foundation for long-term financial stability.

You can read more about their incredible journey here.

Entrepreneurship in Rural Communities

We recently started supporting SEED in the Philippines, the first Farm Village University, to empower young people in rural, underserved areas through education, hands-on agriculture, and social entrepreneurship training. SEED’s innovative programme equips students with the skills to build businesses that foster rural development, create jobs, and tackle poverty at its roots.

SEED is focused on developing the next generation of agri-entrepreneurs who will turn local agriculture into sustainable, profitable ventures. In collaboration with TESDA, the program offers an intensive 3-month course that combines classroom learning with practical, real-world applications. By 2025, SEED aims to train over 3,000 students across its campuses, giving them the tools to build businesses that will strengthen their communities and create long-term prosperity.

Through our partnership, RGH is helping communities break the cycle of poverty, create sustainable livelihoods, and build brighter futures through entrepreneurship.

Supporting Education with Child’s Dream

“The more one knows, the luckier he is, for knowledge is the greatest gift in life.”  –L. Frank Baum

Thanks to some of our contributions, the High School and Vocational College Scholarship Programme in Lao PDR has been able to expand its reach. This programme ensures that more students in remote and underserved areas can access education. Our support has directly contributed to the programme’s growth for the 2024-2025 academic year, adding four new high schools and one vocational college. This expansion puts Child’s Dream on track to have its highest-ever student intake in Lao PDR!

This incredible milestone is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together, and we take pride in knowing that through our efforts, we are helping to create brighter futures for students in need. This is the true essence of Business for Good.

Providing Educational Support with This Life Cambodia

Through our contributions to This Life Cambodia, we are helping provide education and professional development opportunities to at-risk young adults. Initiatives like their internship and scholarship programmes equip students with valuable skills, financial support, and pathways to meaningful careers. By supporting this cause, we empower young people to overcome challenges, pursue their dreams, and contribute to their communities. It’s another powerful example of how our Business for Good commitment makes a real difference.

Transforming Lives with WellWishers Trust

“Clean water, the essence of life and a birthright for everyone must become available to all people now.” – Jean-Michel Cousteau.

We’re proud to support WellWishers Trust, a powerful initiative transforming lives by providing access to clean water. One of the most impactful stories comes from Askale Amare, a mother of three from rural Tigray, Ethiopia. Before 2024, Askale had to walk 30 minutes each way to an overcrowded river, often waiting hours to collect water that was unsafe to drink. Tragically, the contaminated water led to illnesses that claimed the lives of two of her children.

Thanks to the installation of a new well named Geba Aday, life has dramatically improved for Askale and her community. She now only needs to walk five minutes to access clean water, giving her more time to care for her family and farm. The well now serves 125 people, providing a safer and brighter future for them all. This story is a powerful reminder of the tangible difference we’re helping to create around the world.

Reforesting the Planet with Eden: People+Planet

“The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb.

In February 2022, we contributed to the planting of 6,000 trees as part of a reforestation project led by Eden: People+Planet. Eden has worked tirelessly to alleviate extreme poverty in Africa, Asia, and Latin America by employing people to plant and protect millions of trees in deforested areas. With operations now in the Philippines, Brazil, and Ethiopia, Eden has expanded its reach to 11 countries, planting hundreds of millions of trees and providing jobs to more than 20,000 people.

We also support Health In Harmony, an initiative helping former loggers transition to sustainable livelihoods through regenerative farming. Programs like the ‘Chainsaw Buyback’ provide training, resources, and entrepreneurship coaching, allowing individuals to build small businesses focused on organic agriculture. In 2023 alone, 32 loggers participated in the programme, and local communities reforested 62 hectares of land. Our contributions enable individuals to protect the environment while building sustainable futures for their families.

Additionally, through our partnership with The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust, we are helping vulnerable communities enhance their livelihoods and adapt to climate change. This organisation works with smallholder farmers to establish community field schools where local groups learn about climate change, weather patterns and sustainable agricultural practices. Our contribution is part of a more significant effort to build climate-resilient communities through initiatives like beekeeping, agroforestry, goat-keeping, and fruit farming. This supports farmers in protecting their land and the broader environment.

Contributing to Medical Care with ChildAid Eastern Europe

Rgh helps provide critical medical support to children in Moldova, one of Europe’s poorest countries. Many families in Moldova struggle to afford essential medicines, leaving children, often malnourished and with weakened immune systems, without the care they need.

ChildAid collaborates with local health officials to identify children in urgent need of medication. With our support, they have been able to provide access to essential medicines for approximately 50 children, helping improve their health and well-being.

“Give people what they need: food, medicine, clean air, pure water, trees and grass, pleasant homes to live in, some hours of work, more hours of leisure. Don’t ask who deserves it. Every human being deserves it.” – Howard Zinn.

At RGH, we believe that by supporting these causes, we are helping to create lasting, positive change in the world. We are proud to be part of something much larger than ourselves; our commitment to Business for Good is helping to create brighter futures, protect our planet, and build stronger, more resilient communities around the globe. Together, we can continue to make a difference, one cause at a time.
